BreezeMAX® Macro Indoor
The BreezeMAX Macro Indoor is a high-performance WiMAX base station that offers extended coverage range, robust connectivity and scalability to support up to six sectors. The Macro Indoor solution is extremely modular and includes advanced management applications to facilitate a tailored, carrier-class solution that meets operator needs and ensures a rich user experience. BreezeMAX Macro Indoor base station components include an Indoor Unit (IDU) main chassis and an Outdoor Access Unit (ODU).
The highly flexible IDU is designed for diversity, provides high throughput and is built according to the Software Defined Radio (SDR) approach. The IDU consists of both an Access Unit (AU), a programmable, cutting-edge WiMAX 4X4 modem card, which ensures maximum resource utilization and a Network Processing Unit (NPU), which is a central processing unit managing the base station components and all connected subscriber units.
The Outdoor Unit (ODU) is a high-power remote radio unit that connects to an external antenna and provides high system gain and interference robustness utilizing high transmit power and low noise figure. Specially designed for 2Tx/4Rx, ODUs ensure cost-effective, coverage-optimized solutions to overcome Uplink budget limitations. Supporting up to 20 MHz bandwidth, the ODU is scalable to support increased capacity through carrier multiplexing or wider frequency bandwidths.
